
Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, currently living in the USA, Maxine is an Irish Storyteller to adults, telling ancient stories, Irish folklore and her own contemporary tales, in a myriad of venues.
She has narrated novels for Audible Studios, Audio Realms and independent authors, covering a variety of genres: romance, science-fiction, autobiographical and fantasy.
Working for Sight into Sound Radio (SIS), Houston, TX, as a relief Studio Engineer, she recorded interviews, edited and produced several audio documentaries, and volunteered as a newsreader on SISlive radio. Maxine was the co-producer and editor for Houston Arts Radio, in association with Texas Foundation for the Arts.
Publishing a limited edition of Wee Tales, she has recorded her most recent work Chisel Tales and is working on another series of short stories. Maxine was awarded writing residencies at Hedgebrook, Whidbey, WA and at Fort Warden, Port Townsend, WA. She has written/directed training sketches for a variety of charity organizations and spoken on their behalf at public venues.
